Upholstered Wood Chair

Wanted to replace the fabric and also make the chair standable. Started with taking off old fabric and cushioning. Cut out a new seat out of ply with the old seat as a template. Took apart all the loose joints, sanded, and reglued. Attached new seat base and added batting, fabric, and trim.

Back joints were loose. Took them apart, sanded, and reglued. Touched up chips in paint.
Trunk

Wanted to remove the words painted in gold across the front. Started with acetone, then sanded to remove it completely. Painted over in a matching color, and did touch ups on any scuffs.

Most of the joints and slats were very loose. Took apart almost completely, sanded off old glue, and reassembled. Handed off to a student to paint brown.
Side Table

Stripped the top and front with acetone, then stained and sealed it.
Piano Bench

Was originally a side table that had been repaired poorly, but it needed to function as a piano bench. Took apart all the joints and reglued back together, then added cushioning, fabric, and trim.
Chest
Personal Project

Purchased the chest, stripped the finish and stain off. Re-stained it darker and painted to look muddy. Finalized it with wooden side decals, rivets made out of gemstones, a new latch, and leather handles.

Sanded off old stain because it was uneven and marked up. Re-stained and sealed.
Chair Back Repair

The back rest of this chair was missing. Started with taking off the top back panel, then traced a new back piece off a matching chair in stock. Handed off to a student to cut out of bendy luan and paint to match the chair. Also added a new base because the old one was cracked.
Table Modifications

Added corner details and routed the top to add some extra detail to a plain table from our stock.
Wood Bench

Started with grey base, and painted a light colored woodgrain. Ended up darkening later to match other furniture on stage.
