About Me
Isabel Osterhus
I discovered theatre a bit later than most—thanks to a props class I took on a whim during my freshman year. Prior to that, I hadn’t even considered theatre as a major, let alone a career. However, that class became the first truly enjoyable course for me, with its hands-on, project-based material. This interest quickly evolved into working in the scene shop, serving as a prop master for shows, and eventually studying theatre in London for a term.
Travel has been a lifelong passion of mine. Whether it was camping trips with my family or taking Chinese classes in Taiwan, I’ve always loved exploring new places. Theatre has only deepened that sense of adventure. After London, I spent a summer in Door County for a props internship, followed by an apprenticeship the next year at Barnstormers Theatre in New Hampshire.
Now, I’ve found myself back in Wisconsin with UW-Madison as their Props Director.
