The design was made by Michaela Lochen, and construction was done by the two of us. Cut out and assembled, painted with woodgrain texture, sealed, and put on wheels.
Made a template and cut out of wood. Sand, stained, and sealed. Later added lauan cutouts to the ears for more durability.
Done by Michaela Lochen and myself with guidance from Rowan Doe. Started with stripping the old fabric, re-did the webbing on the bottom and inside. Patterned new fabric off of old’s dimensions. Added on new fabric, gimp, and tacks.
Started with stripping off the original two layers of fabric. Then added the green fabric. The gimp was done by Michaela Lochen.
Stripped the pre-existing three layers of fabric then added the desired floral pattern. Finished with attaching cushions back onto chairs
An extravagant congratulatory bouquet. Held together with wire. The stem is covered in gaff tape then the ribbon.
I made three bouquets based off of wedding bouquets in the 1930s. The ivy was cut shorter for the final product.

Flower Bed
Lawrence University
The flower bed was pulled and contained floral foam. The script called for a herbal garden that some plants would be picked from. I placed a few herbs and mushrooms loose in the bed, so that they could be easily accessed.
Touched up the top and front. I started with acetone, then stained and sealed it.
The urn was purchased as a breakaway prop. Then the inside was gaff tapped to minimize shards, and the outside was painted.
The design and prototype of the head were made by me. The final assembly and painting was done by Leila Raymond. The mouth got secured to the head of the puppet and was held on to by wooden dowels. The body pieces were painted on both sides and had handles on one side. The puppet was operated by three people.
One breakfast plate of eaten food and one untouched. The bread is made out of batting, the crusts and eggs were made out of caulk, and the bacon was bought then painted.
1960s address book filled with years of contacts, notes, letters, and photos.
Paper Props – London Map
Lawrence University
1660’s map of London. Purchased the original map. Then tore the edges and used tea to stain it for a worn look. Was rolled up for stage use.
Carved the boulder out of Styrofoam. Painted then speckled for texture.
A small medicine box that would slide onto a belt, does not need to open. Assembled from lauan, stained, sealed, attached fake hinges/latch. Added a loop on the back for attaching to the belt.
A collar for a lion character, needed to be adjustable and loose. A plastic chain attached to a collar made out of a belt.
Cut two layers of butterflies out of gels and tapped together between a stiff metal wire. Drilled a hole into the net and filled with hot glue. The metal wire was removable from the net.
Covered a pole with paper mache. Painted to look like wood.
I purchased the denim bag new and painted mud on the bottom and added embroidery for a used look.
Printed the logs off and stuck it to the lauan backing. Painted over it for a less realistic look.
Assembled a three sided triangle sign. Design by Rowan Doe, painted over and sealed by me.
