Household Centerpiece
Barnstormers Theatre
Centerpiece for an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Assembled with wire and floral tape, and set in the vase inside a large pool noodle.
Garden Box
UW Madison

Arranged in a garden box with rubber mulch as the dirt, carrot stems, and grasses. Leaves are made out of packing foam sandwiched between two layers of tulle. Used hot glue as the leaf veins, then lightly heated them with a heat gun to wrinkle the leaf. Painted with a few tones of green. Attached to a Styrofoam ball that also had leaves around it. Simplified the end design to have fewer leaves, so it could be mass produced faster.
Large Bouquet
Peninsula Players Theatre
An extravagant congratulatory bouquet. Attached the flowers together wire and floral tape. The stem was covered in gaff tape then ribbon.
1930s Wedding Bouquets
Peninsula Players Theatre

I made three bouquets based off of wedding bouquets in the 1930s. The ivy was cut shorter for the final product.
Flower Bed
Lawrence University

The flower bed was pulled and contained floral foam. The script called for a herbal garden that some plants would be picked from. I placed a few herbs and mushrooms loose in the bed, so that they could be easily accessed.
Wisteria Chains
UW Madison

Made wisteria chains/rope to hold back curtains for a wedding scene. Started with a white rope as the base, and secured the wisteria with floral wire. Hooked onto a coat hook on the other side of the proscenium.
